India vs Pakistan Head to Head record in T20 World Cup history
India have a perfect record against Pakistan in World Cup events.
The mother of all clashes is just around the corner and fans can’t keep calm. Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will lock horns on October 24 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both teams will be kick-starting their T20 World Cup 2021 campaign with his marquee clash and would like to emerge victoriously. Having done well in T20Is in recent years, the Men in Blue would take the field with great confidence.
On the other hand, Pakistan face the challenge of defying history as they have never defeated the Indian side in World Cup events. It has to be noted that players of both sides are well versed with the Dubai conditions. While Indian players have played the last two IPL seasons in the gulf nation, Pakistan have been conducting their home fixtures in UAE since a while. Hence, it would be interesting to see how the high-voltage game pans out.
Head to Head record:
While Pakistan dominate India in terms of overall head-to-head record in international, they have literally nothing to show in World Cups. The two arch-rivals have met as many 12 times in World Cups, across all formats, and India emerged winners every single time. In T20 World Cups, the Men in Blue have thumped their neighbours five times. Other seven victories were recorded in ODI World Cups.

The year 2016 marked the last T20 World Cup between India and Pakistan. The venue was the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata and India elected to field first. With the track constantly assisting the bowlers, runs were hard to come by. Hindrance of rain meant the pitch was moist and the outfield was damp.
The Indian bowlers were right on target as the Men in Green could only post 118/5 in their allotted 20 overs. While the target wasn’t massive, India were under the pump after losing both openers cheaply. However, in came Virat Kohli and a batting exhibition was on display.
He played some delightful shots amid challenging conditions and pushed Pakistan on the backfoot. His battle with speedster Mohammad Amir was the highlight of the encounter. However, Kohli remained unbeaten on 55 as India won the game by six wickets with 13 balls to spare.
