India vs West Indies: Angry Virat Kohli mocks Kesrick Williams' notebook celebration in Hyderabad
This is one of the most hilarious acts from Virat you'll ever see.
Cricketers pull various unique things on the field when they are on song. However, it is never a great feeling when they get back the taste of their own medicine. In the first T20I between India and West Indies, Kesrick Williams learnt it the hard way. Indian captain Virat Kohli hilariously mocked Williams after hitting him for a six.
Virat Kohli walked out to bat after the fall of Rohit Sharma’s wicket early in the innings. In the company of KL Rahul, he put up a very good partnership in what was a highly intense chase. However, the 31-year-old seemed to struggle with his batting which is quite unusual.
Kohli tried to hit every ball too hard right from the start of his innings and thus lost his rhythm. However, halfway through his knock, a couple of fortunate boundaries boosted his confidence and he seemed to be a different batsman from thereon.
His big shots were coming on nicely. The attitude was different and he fancied playing a few big shots. Like he usually is when he does something of this sorts, he was very pumped. The same reflected when he played a beautiful shot off Kesrick Williams. The things were heated up in the middle and West Indies came to know it the hard way.
Kesrick Williams could do nothing but smile
In the 16th over of the innings, Kesrick Williams was handed over the ball by Kieron Pollard. On the first ball, he missed his mark slightly and was smashed straight down the ground for a four. However, there was something better to come off the next delivery. The bowler missed the yorker once again by a few inches and that was good enough for Virat Kohli to fancy a big hit. He whipped that ball with pure bottom-hand power flat over the long-on fielder.
Soon after pulling this off, Virat Kohli imitated Kesrick Williams. In one of the games some time back, Williams smashed a bowler for a few boundaries in an over and mocked him with his famous notebook celebration. This time, Virat Kohli did the same and gave Kesrick Williams a taste of his own medicine. Watching Virat do this, Williams could do nothing but smile.
