Indian team celebrates Virat Kohli's 33rd birthday after thumping win over Scotland

Indian skipper and batting legend Virat Kohli turned 33 on 5th November 2021. And, after India’s crushing win over Scotland, the Indian players and support staff celebrated Kohli’s birthday in the dressing room.
In a video released by the official handle of the Indian cricket team on Instagram, team India mentor and former skipper MS Dhoni is seen lighting the candle on the cake for Kohli. Virat Kohli is then seen cutting the cake and blowing the candle.
Kohli then feeds the cake to MS Dhoni, Shardul Thakur, and Suryakumar Yadav. “Cake, laughs and a win. Team Indian bring captain Virat Kohli’s birthday after their superb victory in Dubai,” read the caption on the post.

India thrash Scotland by 8 wickets
The Indian side dished out an absolute mauling to the Scotland side in the Super 12 encounter between the two sides in Dubai. Batting first, Scotland were bowled out for just 85, with George Munsey scoring 24 off 19 deliveries.
In reply, the Indian batsmen tore the Scotland bowling attack to shreds and won the match with 8 wickets and 13.3 overs remaining. KL Rahul led India’s demolition job with the willow and scored 50 off just 19 deliveries. Apart from Rahul, Rohit Sharma also scored a whirlwind 16-ball 30 as well.
Talking about Virat Kohli, the right-handed batting icon is the highest run-scorer in T20I cricket and has amassed 3227 runs in his career at an average of 52.04 and a strike rate of 137.90. Kohli has also scored 29 fifties in T20I cricket.
Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team will next be seen in action on 8th November 2021 when they take on the Namibia side. This match will take place in Dubai. India are currently placed at the 3rd spot in the points table in Group 2.
