The sole spin bowler to feature in this team is the left-arm orthodox spinner from Orissa, Pragyan Ojha. The former Mumbai Indians star was destined for great things after the extraordinary success he achieved in the longest format of the game.

However, his ineffectiveness in the foreign conditions led to his exit from the team. Also, his bowling action had been under the scanner and was banned from bowling in 2014. He lost his golden touch once he returned from that suspension.

The Bhubaneswar-born featured in 9 ODI games for the Men in Blue this decade. He took 9 wickets but the rise of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin did not allow Ojha to cement his place in the team. Also, he was not consistent in terms of picking wickets for the Indian ODI side.
