IPL 2018: 5 fastest balls of the tournament
This season some of the young Indian fast bowlers troubling the batsmen with a sheer pace.
4. Mohammed Siraj – (Royal Challengers Bangalore) – 149.94 kph
Mohammed Siraj was one of the biggest positives for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) this year. He emerged as the death bowler for them when the team was struggling to contain runs at the start of the season. More often than not, the skipper Virat Kohli kept two or three of Siraj in order to keep a lid on the run-scoring of the opposition. The 24-year-old didn’t disappoint as well and managed to hit his lines perfectly. Moreover, his ability to bowl at pace hurried the batsmen which is a good sign for the Indian cricket going forward.
Siraj trumped Mavi just by bowling a certain delivery at a speed of 149.94 kph which is absolutely sensational. Gone are the days when people used to remark the Indian bowlers as medium pacers and not fast bowlers. If these youngsters are groomed properly and kept away from injuries, they will surely prosper in the years to come and trouble some of the best batsmen in the international cricket. Siraj, however, had one fo the best IPL seasons by picking 11 wickets in as many matches with his best figures being 3/25 in one of the games.
