It needed a special effort from the Kolkata Knight Riders to stop the Rajasthan Royals from cruising through in a chase with plenty of wickets to play in the knockout game. The home side were quite good in recovering after losing their strong top order cheaply. Their skipper Dinesh Karthik’s stand with Shubman Gill and Andre Russell’s blitz helped the Knight Riders to finish on 169/7. The Royals were chasing down the total quite easily after the start they got but messed up their chances from 87/1 in 10 overs to finish with 144/4 in 20 overs.
