The Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their 4th consecutive win as they defeated the Daredevils in a close encounter and thus moved to the top of the table. The home side recorded their 7th win in the tournament while Delhi suffered their 7th defeat. A heroic inning from Prithvi Shaw at the top saw DD cruise at nearly ten an over before the SRH spinners pulled back to restrict them to 163/5. Some tight bowling from DD bowlers in the middle overs brought down the equation to 28 runs from the last two overs from where Yusuf Pathan finished things in style.

All the stats and numbers that were recorded during the thrilling match between Hyderabad and Delhi:

1 – Prithvi Shaw became the first player in the IPL to score multiple fifties before turning 19. He scored a fifty in his 2nd IPL match against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Four other players have scored one fifty each in the IPL before turning 19.


5 – Rashid Khan received his 5th Man of the Match award in the IPL and his 3rd off this season. Since the start of 2017 IPL season, his five Man of the Match awards are the most for any player. Sunil Narine and Nitish Rana received four player of match awards in the last two IPL seasons.


19 – Yusuf Pathan has remained unbeaten on 19 occasions in successful run-chases in the IPL which are the joint-most times by any player. Ravindra Jadeja also has been unbeaten in 19 successful chases in the IPL.


25 – Prithvi Shaw’s 25-ball fifty is the 2nd fastest fifty in the IPL for any player against the Sunrisers in Hyderabad. Wriddhiman Saha scored a 22-ball fifty in the 2014 edition while playing for KXIP at this venue against the hosts.


32 – Amit Mishra has picked up the most number of wickets in the Twenty20 format at the RGIC Stadium in Hyderabad. Both Mishra and Bhuvneshwar Kumar started the game with 30 T20 wickets to their name at the venue. The leg-spinner bagged two wickets in the match while the SRH vice-captain went wicketless.


100 – This match was the 100th game of Rashid Khan‘s Twenty20 career. His 147 wickets in this format thus far are the 2nd most at the end of first 100 T20s after Krishmar Santokie’s 158 wickets.


164 – The 164-run chase by Sunrisers Hyderabad is their highest at their home ground in Hyderabad in the IPL. Their previous highest successful chase at this venue was 161 against RCB in 2014.


201 – Number of sixes Yusuf Pathan has hit in the Twenty20 matches played in India thus far. He became the 6th player to hit 200 T20 sixes on Indian soil with the six off Trent Boult in the 19th over.
