IPL 2018, Week 5, Review - Best XI of the Week
Here is a look at the top performers of the week 5 of IPL 2018.
10. Ish Sodhi – Rajasthan Royals
The Rajasthan Royals have found a very good spinner in Ish Sodhi. The Kiwi leggie has not only been containing the run flow in the middle overs, but also been chipping in with crucial wickets. In the recent against the Chennai Super Kings, he returned with figures of 1/29 in his quota of four overs.
This included the big wicket of Suresh Raina, who was looking set for big score in the match. In the game that preceded the match against the Super Kings, Sodhi had returned with phenomenal numbers of 1/14 against the Kings XI Punjab in Jaipur.
11. Andrew Tye – Kings XI Punjab
The previous week of the IPL was not a very good one for the fast bowlers. The fast bowlers were taken away for a plenty of runs with not much to show in the wicket taking column. But the Kings XI Punjab bowler Andrew Tye had a decent outing with the ball.
Tye has become an integral part of the KXIP roster and is the go to fast bowler for his captain in the tournament. Tye returned with figures of 4/34 in the match against the Royals in Jaipur. It was an emotional moment for Tye as his grandmother had passed away before the game. He dedicated his spell to his grandmother. Prior to that, he had also scalped 2/24 in the reverse fixture against the same opposition in Indore.
