IPL 2019: 3 Reasons why Dale Steyn can change RCB's fate
The South African stalwart will be replacing Nathan Coulter-Nile, who backed out due to a back niggle.
2. One of the best economies in IPL history
Among the cricketers who played over 50 IPL games, Dale Steyn has the third best economy rate (6.72), bettered only by Sunil Narine (6.60) and Muttiah Muralitharan (6.67). In the 90 games he played for RCB, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Lions, he picked up 92 wickets at an impressive average of 22.36.
Steyn had his best time in the IPL with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he established himself as a massive threat with the new ball and not a very bad option in the death as well. Time and again, the veteran did an amazing job for the team and has all the experience of bowling on typical Indian tracks.
