The IPL Auction has set the stage of on fire. A number of eminent names have gone under the hammer. The auctions of the previous editions took place in Bangalore and Mumbai respectively, but this time around it’s taking place in Jaipur. Even as there has been a number of big players going for big money, many unknown names have also been able to bag the big bucks.

Many massive names like speedster Dale Steyn, Adam Zampa, Chris Woakes, and Martin Guptill didn’t find any buyers, which raised a lot of eyebrows. In the meantime, Yuvraj Singh, the discarded Indian all-round cricketer who has been a stupendous player throughout his cricketing career, also went unsold. Here we look at some of the biggest buys at the auction thus far.

Shimron Hetmyer- 4.2 crores- RCB

The Windies batsman was listed at a base price of 50 lakhs, but he didn’t go big and was eventually picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at a price of INR 4.20 crore. The Guyana-batsman has been in incredible form in all forms of cricket and the big bucks didn’t spring a surprise.
