IPL 2020: 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for the CSK vs RCB game
Have you picked your Dream11 team for the contest?
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings, two teams who have had an intense rivalry over the years, will face off once again in the 25th game of this year’s IPL. RCB have performed relatively better than how they have in the last few seasons. They have looked more complete as a team. However, the loopholes still exist.
Batting, in some form, is still heavily reliant on the top three-four. There hasn’t been any impactful contribution from the middle order. Their death bowling too, though slightly better than last year, has still been below par. They will look to rectify these things because their opposition is going to come hard at them. CSK have had a shocking IPL so far.
Never have they been so poorly placed after six games in any preceding IPL. Some radical changes are on the cards. They were very close to playing their best XI and the players have to now start performing their given roles. Their middle-order, as well, hasn’t fired like they would have liked to. Their bowling is doing fine, but the spinners surely need to step up. They should consider this to be a do-or-die game, and give it their all.
For the CSK vs RCB game, here are 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team:
1. Aaron Finch (9 credits)
A lot was expected of Finch coming into this tournament. But he hasn’t performed anywhere close to his potential. He has scored just 122 runs in five games with a sole 50. He has looked out of sorts for most part of the tournament.
His strike-rate of just 117 is also highly unimpressive. This match has a number of high-profile and in-form batsmen. Hence, it would be better to opt for them than to risk taking an out-of-form Finch.
2. Navdeep Saini(8.5 credits)
Navdeep Saini has bowled with good pace this season, but hasn’t been able to pick many wickets. With three wickets in five games, and an economy of 10, Saini is a risky player to opt for. He might trouble the batsmen, but is still highly inconsistent and tends to leak runs.
While he is no doubt a good bowler, but in fantasy cricket, it is the wickets that get you points. Saini has lacked in that aspect and hence we can keep him out of the team.
3. Deepak Chahar (8.5 credits)
Deepak Chahar has bowled decently in this IPL but without attractive returns. Chahar, who was amongst the highest wicket-takers last season, accounting for 22 scalps, has been able to pick up only five wickets in six games this year.
He hasn’t been able to extract much from the pitches of UAE and has even looked ineffective in a couple of games. He also has poor numbers against RCB, with an average of 40 and strike rate of 36. Hence, keeping these things in mind, we can exclude Chahar.
