IPL 2020: Match 41- CSK vs MI- CSK Predicted Playing XI
With things looking extremely disappointing for CSK, it will be a thing to see how they play their remaining matches.
Match no 41 of the Indian Premier League 2020 is going to get underway between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Both the teams met last time during the season opener of 2020, where CSK had the upper hand. However, the yellow army has been struggling big time since then to turn things in their favour. With only three victories in 10 matches so far, the three-times champions have found themselves at the bottom-most position in the points table.
With things looking extremely disappointing for them, it will be a thing to see how they play their remaining matches. The Super Kings have just not been able to come with the right set up along with the right decision on the field this year. With batsmen lacking intent and bowlers lacking spark, things have turned worse for them. Let’s see if they will be able to come up with some quality cricket in their remaining games.
Here is the Predicted Playing XI for the Chennai Super Kings for CSK vs MI game:
Openers (Sam Curran and Faf du Plessis)
Though the latest outing of CSK displayed utter collapse of the side, a better opening stand would be expected from Curran and Du Plessis in the next match. Curran 22 runs from his end in the last match.
He would be expected to show his usual big hits in the coming times. On the other hand, Du Plessis has been one constant man for CSK while fetching runs and would be expected to continue his form in the next clash.
Middle Order (Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, N Jagadeesan, and MS Dhoni)
Watson has shown some hot and cold form in this tournament. He has not been very constant but can be expected to replicate his earlier heroics in the coming matches for CSK. In the last match too, he left the pitch too early by producing just eight runs off his bat.
Rayudu was showing some decent intent and aggression while doing his job with the bat in the last few matches, but even he failed in the latest outing. His role in the middle order would be vital to provide good strength to the team. He is most likely to find a place in CSK’s playing XI against Rohit Sharma and the company.
Young Jagadeesan has shown up for just one match during his debut season in IPL 2020. He contributed essential 33 runs from his bat in the same outing, and owing to the decent performance, he might be trusted again by the team management.
MS Dhoni’s batting form is under all the questions and all the criticism this season. He is just not been able to make fans happy with his big hits and helicopter shots. Though he played a knock of 28 runs in the last match, he is expected to shine up better. However, he would lead his franchise in the coming days this season.
All-rounder (Ravindra Jadeja)
Jadeja is probably the only man who has been constantly doing a fine job for his team for the last few matches. Even in the last match, he kept fighting till the end of CSK’s innings and played a knock of 35 off 30. With his all-round capabilities, he is most likely to walk up to the field with the team against Mumbai.
Bowlers (Deepak Chahar, Josh Hazlewood, Shardul Thakur, and Sai Kishore)
Chahar has left no stone unturned to dominate for the pack attack with the new ball. He has always come to the team’s rescue while getting some early wickets, and it happened in the last game too. He scalped two early wickets by conceding just 18 runs off his spell and is expected to keep shining in the rest of the matches for CSK.
Josh Hazlewood is expected to accompany him to level up the pace attack of the team. He showed top-notch form in the last game by conceding just 19 runs to get one wicket. In the same line, Shardul Thakur can also step into the team owing to his decent performance in the recent past.
Also, debutant Sai Kishore can be expected to show up in the field alongside Chennai in their next match. His spin action might come as a surprise package for the team during their testing times.
