IPL 2020: Match 51, DC vs MI – Mumbai Indians Player Ratings
MI chased the target of 111 down with 34 balls to spare.
Mumbai Indians (MI), on Saturday, confirmed their berth in the top two and would be playing in the Qualifier 1 of the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team, led by Kieron Pollard, defeated the Delhi Capitals (DC) by nine wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The Mumbai-based franchise secured their ninth victory with a stupendous net run rate of +1.296. After winning the toss and electing to field, MI restricted Shreyas Iyer’s men to a meagre 110 in 20 overs. Iyer and Rishabh Pant top-scored for DC, scoring in the 20s, but both couldn’t carry on.
MI didn’t have any trouble whatsoever in tracking the target down, getting over the finishing line with as many as 34 balls to spare. The loss has made DC’s last match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) a must-win affair for the former.

Ishan Kishan- 9.5/10
Ishan Kishan has gone from strength to strength after replacing Rohit Sharma for the opener’s slot. The southpaw stayed unbeaten on 72 runs off 47 balls with eight fours and three sixes. He played at a strike-rate of 153.19.
Quinton de Kock- 6.5/10
Quinton de Kock wasn’t fluent while he was there in the middle with the bat in hand. The southpaw notched 26 runs off 28 balls with a couple of fours before pacer Anrich Nortje rattled his woodwork.
Suryakumar Yadav- 6/10
Suryakumar Yadav didn’t have much to do in the game. The right-handed batsman stayed unbeaten on 12 runs off 11 balls with the help of one four. He also took the important catch of Shikhar Dhawan.
Saurabh Tiwary- N/A
Krunal Pandya- 7.5/10
Krunal Pandya didn’t pick up a wicket, but he was able to hit the right channels on a consistent basis. In his three overs, the left-arm spinner gave away only 13 runs. He also churned out nine dot deliveries.
Kieron Pollard- N/A
Nathan Coulter-Nile- 8/10
Nathan Coulter-Nile replaced James Pattinson in the MI lineup and he didn’t flatter to deceive. The speedster bowled two overs, giving away 14 runs. Most importantly, he got rid of Shimron Hetmyer.
Jayant Yadav- 7/10
Jayant Yadav, playing his first game in the ongoing edition, wasn’t disappointing. The off-break bowler gave away 18 runs in the three overs he bowled with six dot balls. The tweaker gave away only one six.
Rahul Chahar- 8.5/10
Rahul Chahar was tight enough in the middle overs as he gave away 24 runs in his quota of four overs. He bowled 10 dot balls and pinned DC skipper Shreyas Iyer, who was well set, having scored 25 off 29.
Trent Boult- 9.5/10
Trent Boult gave Mumbai the early breakthroughs, dismissing Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan in the first two overs he bowled. The left-armer also nipped out Ravi Ashwin. He gave 21 runs at 5.25 per over.
Jasprit Bumrah- 9.5/10
Jasprit Bumrah was stupendous in the middle-overs as he accounted for the wickets of Marcus Stoinis and Rishabh Pant. He also got rid of Harshal Patel. In his four overs, the pacer only gave away 17 runs.
