IPL 2020: Top 5 run-scorers in the tournament after the first week
These batsmen would be expected to take charge for the entire season for their respective franchises.
5. Manish Pandey (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Manish Pandey has scored 85 runs from 2 innings at a strike-rate of 119.71. With an average of 42.50, he has one half-century to his name. He has hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in the two games.
Pandey has done well for SRH in both the games, coming in at number 3. He scored 34 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, providing support to the in-form Jonny Bairstow. However, after his dismissal the middle-order fell like a pack of cards and handed over RCB the game.
He scored his first 50 of the season in the latest game against the Knight Riders. He paced his knock well and kept hitting boundaries to maintain the flow of the innings. However, he did not get enough support from the other end, with the batsmen often choking the flow of runs.
