IPL 2021: 3 players you should avoid in fantasy teams for Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians game
Punjab lost their first match in Chennai against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Punjab Kings are struggling in the IPL 2021 in many ways. The KL Rahul-led team has not found their rhythm in this season so far. Defending champions, Mumbai Indians have found ways to stick together, despite any notable big performance. They have managed a couple of wins before coming into this contest. Rahul and Co. have won only one out of their four matches.
As these two high-profile teams play out their league match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, it is important for fans to keep a track of the players who might or might not well on the field.
Here is a look at the 3 players whom you should avoid in your fantasy teams for Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians game:
Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan had hit the most number of sixes in the previous edition of the IPL. However, the young batsman hasn’t yet turned up with a dismissive innings with the bat. Mumbai Indians will surely hope for him to find some form, but on the Chennai wicket, that seems quite unlikely.
He has struggled to get his timing right while batting on this wicket. He comes down the innings, which could be a reason why he is not getting runs more often. Whenever he has come to bat in the Chennai wicket, the ball was quite old, making it difficult for him to find his rhythm.
Mohammad Shami
After the third match in Mumbai, Shami seemed to have lost his rhythm slightly. He does focus on the slower balls in the death, which is why he hasn’t got a lot of success in this edition of the IPL.
In the last game, he was used for only two overs upfront and he did now bowl after that. On the Chennai pitch, he will not find a lot of swing, which is his skill. He is unlikely to play a huge role in this match, given the conditions.
Nicholas Pooran
The left-handed batsman from the Caribbean has not really found his form going in this tournament so far. He has not really got a substantial score and his failure has headlined Punjab Kings’ middle order struggles. Considering where he bats, it will be difficult for him to compile a big score in Chennai.
He is capable of scoring big, but consistency isn’t his strength. He will hope to find a way out of this rut he has got into. But against a quality attack like that of Mumbai, Pooran will surely find it difficult.
