IPL 2021: 5 Batsmen who can hit six sixes in an over in the tournament
Recently, Kieron Pollard smashed Akila Dananjaya for those many sixes in an over during a T20I in Antigua.
4. Kieron Pollard
Just like he had fancied his chances against the Sri Lankan spinner, the MI fans now will be much thrilled to watch him do the same in the IPL. Since 2010, Kieron Pollard has been a force when it comes to hitting the ball as long and hard and can also be called an agony, especially for the spinners. No one in world cricket at present can effortlessly hit sixes in the ‘V’ part of the ground as Kieron Pollard. His fibrous body allows him to fetch the ball also from outside the line of the stumps, thus hitting the ball right from the cover region to the mid-wicket area.
For MI, Pollard has been a vital cog for them ever since his entry into the IPL and has scored more than 3,000 runs. Overall, the lower-order batsman has hit a total of 198 sixes for the blue army and also ranks himself in the top 10 for most sixes. Even in terms of strike-rate, Pollard almost maintains it close to 150.
With yet another opportunity of achieving this feat for his dearest franchise, Pollard might be seen initiating a similar kind of affair. And if someone from the other end is carrying out a similar role then one might expect Pollard to bring out his 10-feat tall stature fielding near the boundary ropes.
