IPL 2021: 5 domestic star players who didn't get a bid in the auction
Well, it is the IPL and unpredictability is its second name.
3. Varun Aaron
Varun Aaron was a part of Virat Kohli’s strategy to make India’s bowling attack stronger. He is still one of the fastest bowlers in the country. However, his career was heavily affected because of injuries just before an important series or tournament. His injuries affect him so much that he has represented the Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore without being a regular member for any of them.
Even though Aaron can bowl at high speeds, his line and length made him an ineffective bowler. In a game where leaking runs is a crime, Aaron has an economy rate of 8.89. With 42 wickets under his belt in 50 matches, he could not find a franchise this year. Well, the presence of other effective bowlers had decreased the chances of Aaron being sold this year.
Aaron has been unsuccessful in the IPL. An average of 34.02 is not acceptable in a highly competitive league. Adding on, his wickets’ tally was blank for the 2020 season. No doubt, he was unsold this year. Therefore Aaron makes it to this list of 5 domestic star players who didn’t get a bid in the IPL 2021 auction.
