Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians will set up the action for the 51st match of the Indian Premier League 2021. Talking about RR, what they did in the last match against table-toppers Chennai Super Kings was no less than surreal. Despite chasing a high-end score, Royals’ batsmen showed their might and didn’t leave any stone unturned to send CSK bowlers to the cleaners.

Rajasthan will be playing their next game against Mumbai Indians and the match holds great importance with respect to both teams. Both the teams have 10 points from 12 fixtures and will be putting their best foot forward in the do or die contest. In this case, it doesn’t look that RR will disturb their winning combination that had a lot of new factors.

Rajasthan Royals predicted playing XI against Mumbai Indians

Openers (Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal)

The opening combination of Lewis and Jaiswal has clicked so far for the Royals where young Jaiswal is looking adamant on reaching new heights every day. Jaiswal’s rocking 50 off just 21 balls laid the foundation of RR’s terrific chase against CSK and keeping this momentum up, they both can do great against MI too.

Samson has been showing a great flair in the UAE and even in the last contest, he added vital 28 runs from his end in the middle. Phillips got his chance in the squad in the last game and he made it count with a quick 14 off 8 balls. Livingstone was just not able to bring magic for the Royals and this is why the middle order saw some changes.

The Kiwi star will likely find a place in XI in the next game too. Royals also fetched in Miller in the middle during their last game but his chance of coming on the field didn’t arrive even. Hence, the Royals’ middle order will be strengthened by the skipper, Phillips, and Miller.

All-rounder (Shivam Dube and Rahul Tewatia)

Dube finally got his chance with RR in the UAE in their game against CSK and he couldn’t have done anything better to prove the management right. Dube smashed bowlers from top to toe and stood tall till the last with his 42-ball 64* for the team.

It is unlikely that the team will give another chance to rusty Riyan Parag and will go with Dube and Tewatia as their all-rounders. Tewatia wasn’t able to make a mark with the willow but emerged in a rocking manner with the ball in hand. He picked three wickets in the last game, the highest by a RR bowler.

Bowlers (Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya, Mayank Markande, and Akash Singh)

Debutant Akash Singh got his chance with RR in the last game but couldn’t get any success, rather he was a bit costly. Since he has been great in India’s U-19 setup, RR might want to give him another chance against MI. Even Markande can get a nod in the next game. The ordeals of Rajasthan began when the costliest player Chris Morris failed to shine even once in successive games.

Sakariya and Rahman have been peddling their boats with RR quite consistently and will be seen in their playing XI in the next game too. Sakariya maintained a fine economy even in the last game with a wicket under his belt.
