IPL 2021: Match 6 – SRH vs RCB – Royal Challengers Bangalore Predicted Playing XI
The Virat Kohli-led Bangalore outfit will go into their second IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 14th April 2021 with confidence.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side beat the mighty Mumbai Indians (MI) side in the inaugural match of IPL 2021. Led by the brilliance of Harshal Patel with the ball and the sorcery of AB de Villiers with the bat, the Bangalore side won a thriller with 2 wickets to spare. And now, the Virat Kohli-led outfit will go into their second IPL match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) outfit on 14th April 2021 with confidence.
On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad side will enter the match on the back of a loss. Against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the David Warner-led side went down by a margin of 10 runs. While the Bangalore outfit will look to post their second win on the trot, the Hyderabad side will be looking for a reversal of fortunes. On that note, let us take a look at the Predicted Playing XI of Royal Challengers Bangalore for the match against SRH.
Openers- Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal might return back to the RCB side for the encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad. And, that would mean that Rajat Patidar will have to face the axe. Padikkal was in scintillating form in his debut IPL season last year in the UAE and plundered 473 runs at an average of 31.53. Opening the batting alongside Padikkal will be the legendary Virat Kohli.
Kohli looked fluent during his 29-ball stay in the middle in the match against the Mumbai Indians. The Bangalore skipper scored 33 in the last match.
Middle Order- Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers
The Bangalore side is blessed with two batsmen who can decimate any bowling attack on their day in the middle order. Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers will occupy the No.3 and No.4 positions respectively. And, both these willow wielders were in good form in Bangalore’s opening match of IPL 2021. While Maxwell scored 39 off 28 deliveries, de Villiers scored a scintillating 27-ball 48.
If Maxwell and de Villiers come good in the second match, then the ‘Orange Army’ will have a lot to worry about.
All Rounders- Shahbaz Ahmed, Dan Christian, Washington Sundar, Kyle Jamieson
The Bangalore side is blessed with a number of quality all-rounders. Dan Christian can prove to be a dangerous willow wielder on his day. At the same time, he can also roll his arm over when the team requires him to, and scalp crucial wickets. Shahbaz Ahmed is still in the early days of his IPL career but is an exciting prospect.
Washington Sundar and Kyle Jamieson are the other two all-rounders that the RCB side has in their arsenal. Sundar did not do much in Bangalore’s previous match with the ball. He bowled just the one over, gave away 7 runs, and scalped the wicket of Chris Lynn. Sundar opened the batting in the last game for Bangalore and scored 10 runs. As far as Jamieson is concerned, the Kiwi pacer bowled 4 overs, gave away 27 runs, and picked up the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav.
Bowlers- Harshal Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj
The bowlers who are likely to play in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the Bangalore side are Harshal Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Mohammed Siraj. Undoubtedly, Harshal Patel was the star performer for the Bangalore side with the ball in the encounter against the Mumbai Indians (MI). The right-arm pacer scalped 5 wickets and gave away just 27 runs in his quota of 4 overs in Bangalore’s last match.
While Chahal could not scalp even a single wicket in the previous match against the Mumbai side, Siraj did a tidy job and gave away 22 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
