Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been dealt with a huge blow as their premier player Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He was recovering from a quadricep injury sustained while playing for India during the third T20I against West Indies in February. He was ruled out of the subsequent Sri Lanka series as well.

However, he was expected to join CSK team during the IPL soon as he was recovering from injury at the NCA. The cricketer had also posted a few videos of him returning to bowling to some extent. But during his rehab, Chahar’s back injuy emerged freshly that put diminished all hopes of his return to IPL this season. The four-time champions had secured his services for a mammoth amount of INR 14 crore in the mega auction but are already suffering without him having already lost four out of five matches.
