Playing at such a level teaches the uncapped wayward how to take up responsibilities.
5. Arshdeep Singh
Another youngster who has been bowling consistently well over the past two years is Arshdeep Singh. He has been the most economical bowler for Punjab Kings this season. Singh, through his grit, has also earned his maiden national call.
Moreover, the left-arm pacer has been named in the 18-member squad for five-match T20I series against South Africa. The 23-year-old Arshdeep hails from Punjab and was one of the retentions made by PBKS ahead of this year’s mega auction. He was also a member of the Indian U19 WC winning contingent of 2018.
In 14 matches this season, he has 10 scalps to his name. While he was more effective at assisting wickets, his economy is considerably good at 7.7. Adding to his bowling, Singh has emerged as a good fielder and secures the hotspots on the field. He also truly deserves the Emerging Player of the season award.
