IPL 2022: 5 Players who might not play IPL next season
While a few overseas players have been given limited opportunities to showcase their talent, some couldn't even make the playing XI at least once.
3. Aaron Finch
Aaron Finch has probably represented every IPL franchise out there. The Australian batter was brought in by Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement for Alex Hales in IPL 2022. Barring a couple of decent performances, it has been yet another underwhelming season for Aaron Finch. After a few outings with the franchise, he was dropped to the bench towards the end of the season.
Aaron Finch will find himself in the auction pool once again, and once again like this year, the Australian limited-overs skipper will most likely find himself unsold. The veteran batter has been prolific on the international stage, however, he has failed to deliver when it comes to the IPL.
Given that the 50-over World Cup will be conducted next year, Aaron Finch might decide to withdraw his name from the auction pool. The Aussie skipper might prioritize resting himself after a busy summer, especially given the lack of opportunities in IPL.
