IPL 2022: 5 unsold bowlers who can come as a replacement signing

The months of March and April are some of the most awaited phases of the cricketing calendar. With the IPL set to kick off this month, the fans look forward to watching their favorite players representing their respective franchises. This time around, things are a bit different though. With so many unexpected changes, the dimensions and core groups of many teams have changed. Apart from that, there is some proportion of uncertainty as well, because of the pandemic. Adding on, the fitness bar has risen exceptionally for the players. This makes things quite exciting as the fitness level is not always the same for the players. Hene, there might be a window of opportunity for some players to make their way into the lucrative T20 league. Let us look at the- Five bowlers who can come in as a replacement for the upcoming IPL season 5. Andrew Tye Andrew Tye. (Photo: IANS) Over the years Andrew Tye has been one of the well-known faces in the Australian domestic circuit. Although he has been a regular member of the limited-overs side, his economy has been average. But, most of the franchises in the IPL overlook the most important factor: the ability to take wickets. In 27 IPL games, Tye has picked 40 wickets. Being an overseas bowler who gets limited chances, this is a stellar record. However, no team opted to take him to the side. Talking about his international experience, Tye has picked 47 wickets in 32 T20I games. Apart from that, he is not the worst tailender in the game. Hence, he will be a great addition to a side in the IPL. 4. Amit Mishra Amit Mishra. However, spinners have proved them wrong. And the man who has been the best spinner in the league will be searching for an opportunity to come in as a replacement. Unfortunately, Amit Mishra found no bidders in the auction. This was purely because of his age. But, given the fact that CSK has MS Dhoni, other teams could have opted for Mishra, given the fact that Dhoni is well over 40 and still produces magic on the field. Mishra has picked 166 wickets in 154 IPL games. Adding on, he has an impressive economy rate of 7.35 as well. Hopefully, Mishra gets to play the toughest T20 league once again. 3. Adil Rashid Adil Rashid. There is no doubt on his caliber, but maybe, his overseas tag has been the barrier for the teams. If a team will be searching for a leggie, then Rashid’s name will surely come into the mind of the management. Rashid has played just a solitary IPL game. It was a poor outing for him as he went for runs. In three overs, he conceded 35 runs without picking any wicket. But, his T20I bowling figures are outstanding. In 73 T20I games, he has picked 81 wickets with an economy rate of 7.26. Adding on, he has the best bowling figure of 4/2. Apart from that, he can smash the ball as well. Overall, he is a complete package for any team. 2. Tabraiz Shamsi Tabraiz Shamsi of South Africa. The best bowler in the format has gone unsold in the auction. Even the rankings were not enough to impress the bidders. However, he deserves to be a part of the IPL. Shamsi has been outstanding since last year and has been unplayable. Given the fact that he has provided breakthroughs during a crucial time, Shamsi is a match-winner in every case. For teams that lack a proper spinner, Shamsi could have been a perfect addition to the side. With 57 wickets to his name in 47 T20I games, he has been effective in the format. Adding on, he is Bavuma’s go-to man as well in the shorter format. 1. Adam Zampa Adam Zampa. (Photo by Alex Davidson/Getty Images) Adam Zampa’s bowling action is similar to that of the great Shane Warne and his stature in the current Australian team is almost the same as that of Warne. Currently, Zampa is ranked fourth in the bowlers’ list in T20Is, and still, he went unsold. This year, he was an important contributor to Australia in the World Cup. Zampa has played 14 IPL games and has picked 21 wickets so far. Adding on, he has the best bowling figure of 6/19 as well. Talking about his economy rate, Zampa’s economy has been decent so far. He could be a great addition to any team in the IPL. He can stop the flow of runs from one end and can pick wickets when the batters decide to go after him. It will be interesting to see if any team will opt for him as a replacement.
