Andre Russell has been a T20 stalwart for nearly a decade now, and he keeps on putting up impressive performances for his team. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) probably had one of their worst matches this season against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) where they were bundled out for just 101 runs in the second innings.

Russell’s show was perhaps the only silver lining in that match. After picking up two wickets in the first innings, Russell went on to score 45 runs out of the total of 101 that his team had managed. Against Mumbai Indians (MI), however, he failed with the bat but still picked up a couple of wickets.

He is without a doubt KKR’s most dangerous batsman and as far as this season is considered, one of their best bowlers too. Much of KKR’s performances have been largely dependent on his individual performances, which is something the team must look into in the future.
