IPL 2022: Five benched players who could have gotten more chances with other teams
A few players have found themselves warming the bench, when they could have earned more chances playing for other teams.
5. Kartik Tyagi
Sunrisers Hyderabad have a strong bowling attack, which mostly comprises of an Indian core consisting of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik and T Natarajan. As a result, chances for Kartik Tyagi was hard to come by in IPL 2022. He played just two games this season, where he managed to pick up just one wicket.
The Hyderabad bowling attack did a pretty decent job this season, in fact, it was their batting which disappointed more often than not. Hence, there was not much of an incentive to change the bowling attack. Umran Malik had a stellar second half of the season, and despite conceding a bit too many runs, he managed to pick up wickets.
Hence, Kartik Tyagi had to warm the bench for majority of the season. He could have surely played a few more games if he was picked by the likes of Punjab Kings or Chennai Super Kings.
