The third match of IPL 2022 will see the Punjab Kings locking horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on March 27. Both teams look promising on paper and it remains to be seen which of these two sides will start on a winning note. Meanwhile, the two sides have also appointed new captains. While India Test opener Mayank Agarwal will be leading Punjab, Bangalore will be led by veteran South African batter Faf du Plessis.

Both PBKS and RCB have made some important additions to their respective squads ahead of the upcoming season. While the Punjab-based franchise has arguably the strongest batting line-up in the tournament with the inclusion of Shikhar Dhawan and the English duo of Jonny Bairstow (to join later) and Liam Livingstone etc, they also have a good pace attack that will be spearheaded by Proteas speedster Kagiso Rabada, who also would be joining a bit later due to international commitments.

The Bengaluru-based franchise have also included some seasoned players for this season. While batting megastar Virat Kohli and new skipper Faf du Plessis will be taking care of the top-order, the onus will be on Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell (not available for 1st game) to make their presence felt in the middle-order. RCB’s bowling attack also looks promising. While Sri Lankan sensation Wanindu Hasaranga is one of their lethal spinners, the pace attack comprises Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel.

Here’s a look at how the weather will behave during PBKS vs RCB clash:

The passionate cricket fans can heave a sigh of relief as rain will not be playing a spoilsport during the Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 2022 clash at the DY Patil Stadium on March 27. As per accuweather.com, the temperature in Navi Mumbai will be about 34° Celcius during the day. However, it will reduce to 27° Celcius at night. The dew factor might play a role in this contest and therefore, the team winning the toss would look to bowl first.
