IPL 2022: Players from each team who did not get a chance to play this season
Some of these players have performed well in the domestic circuit as well as in the U19 World Cup.
5. Lucknow Super Giants
Lucknow Super Giants, being a new team in IPL had to do a lot of experiments to find the right combination. LSG gave a lot of young lads a chance to play their debut game this season. Kyle Mayers was bought in for INR 50 lakhs as an all-rounder addition to the team but couldn’t get a game.
Ankit Rajpoot, the speedster earned a lot of fame playing for Punjab and Delhi in the previous editions. He was also successful in pulling out wickets but due to his high economy, he was dropped from the playing XI this season as well. Mayank Yadav, another bowler also had the opportunity to learn from the best by being in the same dressing room and is yet to make his debut.
Shahbaz Nadeem, a spinning all-rounder got only one match in the previous IPL as well. He was not included in the playing XI even once this season. He has a total of 48 wickets to his name in his entire IPL career.
