IPL8: Disappointed Rohit Sharma blames the attitude of his players: Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was disappointed after his side lost to Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets at the Wankhade Stadium last night. With this loss, Mumbai have lost all their 4 matches in this IPL as they look clueless on approaching a victory. Mumbai did a great job by putting on 183 on the board after they were reduced to 12-3 in the first three overs. He also said that his players lacked attitude on the field and lost the match in the first six overs when his bowlers went for 90 runs.

During the Post-Match presentation, Rohit said Pretty disappointed with the way we bowled and our attitude on the field wasn’t right. I thought 183 was a good score, but we didn’t execute our plans with the ball. There’s no way they could score 90 runs in the first six overs. I think that’s where we probably lost the game. We’ve been trying and possibly doing everything but it’s not coming off, but they played well too. At the end of the day, you need to get the combination right, that’s what we were trying to do. I know it’s not working out. We know we’ve got to find the right balance. If you don’t win, nothing counts. Pretty disappointed to lose the game. We are not thinking anything right now, relax, take it easy and then think about our next match.

He also said that Aaron Finch’s replacement will be announced soon. We are thinking about it. We have come up with some names, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We thought we needed to look at a few more options. We will check them and decide. But it has to be done quickly, he said.

Mumbai Indians take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday in quest of their first win in this IPL.
