Irfan Pathan knows himself by a margin of 80 percent
Pathan gets eight of the ten questions asked right.
Former Indian International and captain of the Baroda side in Ranji Trophy, Irfan Pathan, recently featured on a popular quiz show named “Think you know yourself”, where the guest is interrogated about tricky questions regarding their career. Based on the results from the quiz, one gets to know how much he or she knows about oneself.
Based on Pathan’s knowledge about on himself, he scored an impressive 80% in the test by answering 8 out of the 10 questions asked to him. He was first asked who was at the non-striker’s end when he scored his maiden Test ton. To which he spontaneously answered by taking the name of Ishant Sharma.
He was on a roll for the next six successive questions as he got each and every query bang on. From the year he was named the ICC emerging player of the year (2004) to the number of runs conceded during the spell in the World T20 final which earned him his man of the match award (16 runs), Pathan got every question right.
Surprisingly, he even remembered the number of runs amassed by him and his brother Yusuf Pathan during India’s heroic chase down in one of the T20I back in 2009 and also the man who held on to the catch at slips during his famous hat-trick at Karachi.
Pathan looked in a spot of bother for the first time when he was asked about the name of the player who he dismissed the most number of times in his International career. Irfan Pathan enquired whether the was for Sri Lanka up front.”Oh boy! was it a Sri Lankan batsman” exclaimed the left-hander, according to ESPN Cricinfo. “Tillakaratne Dilshan! oh boy ! oh boy!” added the 32-year-old when he got it right.
Out of the 10 questions, the only two he got it wrong was the venue where he scored his maiden ODI half-century and the franchise he made the most number of appearances for in IPL.
