It is expected that Bumrah will be back in action ahead of New Zealand tour as the selectors would like to test fitness of the illustrious bowler before the overseas series. The young Indian pacer last week won the prestigious Wisden India Almanack Cricketer of the Year award. He made his debut back in 2016 against Australia in ODIs. After that, he went onto became India’s best fast bowler across all the formats. Right-arm pacer featured in 12 Tests, 58 ODIs and 42 T20Is and managed to get more than 250 international wickets.
Meanwhile, Team India has performed decently well by winning their three-match Test series against South Africa by 3-0. Now, Virat Kohli and Co. is leading the ICC Test Championship table, after consecutively winning all of their last five Tests after the championship got underway. The Indian pace attack dispatched some brilliant performance in the absence of their premium fast bowler Bumrah.
