Khulna Titans go all out as they bag the services of Chris Lynn and Sarfraz Ahmed

Khulna Titans have bagged the services swashbuckling Kolkata Knight Riders and Brisbane Heat batsman Chris Lynn in their lineup for this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) starting fourth of November. The other star bagged by the Titans is the Champions Trophy winning captain Sarfraz Ahmed.

Chris Lynn is a monumental name as far as T20 cricket is concerned. Lynn made his name for devastation in the Big Bash League in Australia where he represents Brisbane Heat. He has been a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders setup for a while now but finally displayed his caliber in this edition of the IPL.

At an outstanding average of 49, Lynn scored as many as 295 runs in just seven innings in the tournament, and achieved the highest strike rate of almost 181, throughout the tournament. His tournament was cut short due to a shoulder injury he sustained while fielding.

The recently announced Pakistan Test captain, Sarfraz Ahmed made the international stage his own after taking his unpredictable Pakistan side towards victory in the recently concluded Champions Trophy. Pakistan didn’t look like even progressing into the semi-finals of the tournament, especially after the loss against India in the first game of the tournament.

His innings against Sri Lanka, in the last match of the group stages, which was viewed as a virtual quarter-final of the tournament, single-handedly took his side to the semi-finals of the tournament. The Sarfraz Khan-led side didn’t look back since and went on create history by winning their first Champions Trophy with the help of two successive clinical performance in the semi-finals and the finals against home side England and tournament favorites India. The other major names in their squad are the two South African who play in England now with the help of Kolpak Deal Rilee Rossouw and Kyle Abbott, Shadab Khan, and Sri Lankan spinner Seekkuge Prasanna.
