Adil Rashid is one of the best leg-spinners in the world right now. The sharp turn he gets off the surface is something which makes him a special bowler. The Yorkshire player has delivered many balls which have bamboozled best of the batsmen. He delivered one such delivery to Indian opener KL Rahul at the Kensington Oval in London during the 2018 Test series.

On Saturday, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) uploaded a clip of Rahul’s dismissal and claimed it to be the leg-spinner’s favourite wicket. The wickets had come at a perfect time for the home team as Rahul was batting well at at 149 and was in the middle of a great partnership with Rishabh Pant.

However, this ball from Adil Rashid changed the course of the match. The leg-spinner bowled around the wicket and pitched the ball into the rough which were way away from the leg stump line. The ball turned from that part of the pitch and went and hit the off stump.

The insane turn of the ball even surprised the Karnataka batsman, who was looking good to help India chase down the mammoth total of 463 runs. KL Rahul was batting quite well until this ball arrived. A few overs later, Pant got out to Rashid as well and India crumbled to lose the game by 118 runs.

ECB had uploaded Virat Kohli’s dismissal too

A few days ago, ECB had uploaded another video of one of the famous dismissals of Adil Rashid. He had turned one viciously to castle India captain Virat Kohli during the ODI series on the same tour. India and England were playing in the series decider in Leeds. Kohli was batting on 71 and looked like approaching another ODI hundred.

He was batting perfectly until a gentle ball from the Yorkshire spinner pitched and turned away more than the batsman expected. Kohli kept staring at the pitch in utter disbelief for a few seconds, before walking away eventually. Again this was the turning point in the game as England managed to restrict the visitors and then went on to chase it thanks to Joe Root’s century.
