Latest IPL 2020 points table, Orange and purple cap holders after DC vs RR game

After DC vs RR match, Delhi Capitals are back on the top of the points table again.

The 30th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was played between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Dubai. DC put their best form to display and won the contest by 13 runs. Deciding to come up with bat first, they posted a modest total of 161 /7 on the board. Shikhar Dhawan (57 off 33) and Shreyas Iyer (53 off 33) were at their absolute best to let their team dominate the game.

Apart from Dhawan and Iyer, Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey added 18 and 14 runs respectively from their ends. England stunner, Jofra Archer, was best from Rajasthan’s bowling unit as he conceded just 19 runs to name three scalps to his credit. Jaydev Unadkat picked two wickets for his team.

DC bowlers displayed a spectacular show

Hunting down the target, Rajasthan got off to a decent start but stumbled as innings progressed. Ben Stokes (41 off 35) and Robin Uthappa ( 32 off 27) were the bright spots from their line-up, but they failed to get the team over the line. Delhi bowlers did a great job, and Ravi Ashwin was the most economical of them all. Debutant Tushar Deshpande was able to scalp two wickets for his team in the action packed contest.

Anrich Nortje was named as the player of the match for his outstanding spell under tight situations. He conceded 33 runs to get two wickets.

Who has Orange and Purple Cap?

After DC vs RR match, Delhi Capitals are back on the top of the points table again. Second in place are defending champions Mumbai Indian. The 3rd and 4th place is held by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively.

The Orange cap remains with KL Rahul, who has 387 runs in the IPL 2020 so far. Second in the race is Mayank Agarwal with 337 runs while third and fourth spots are sealed by Faf du Plessis and Shreyas Iyer. The purple cap is with Kagiso Rabada, who has 18 wickets under his belt now. Next in line is Jofra Archer, with 11 wickets. He is followed by Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah, who have 11 wickets to their belt so far in IPL 2020.
