7. 6 – Clive Lloyd 1983
Clive Lloyd won 6 straight matches in the 1983 World Cup after losing the first match against India. But after that they defeated Australia, Zimbabwe, India again and Pakistan in the semis to reach the finals. After winning the 1975 and 1979 World Cup, Clive Lloyd wanted to make the hat-trick of World Cups with a flawless performance again, but were defeated by a spirited India in the finals at Lord’s.
