6. 7 – Martin Crowe 1992
New Zealand were the team to beat in the 1992 World Cup led by the great Martin Crowe, they won 7 out of 8 games played. Crowe was also the Man of the tournament in the World Cup. They defeated every team in the round robin league except Pakistan on their way to semi-finals. Even in the semi-finals, they had Pakistan on the ropes but Crowe had to leave the field due to injury leaving John Wright as the leader. Inzamam took this opportunity to play the innings of the World Cup making 60 off 37 balls. New Zealand lost their best chance to reach the finals and have never been in the finals since than despite reaching semi-finals 3 more times.
