Match Details:

The 16th match of the Marsh One-Day Cup 2019 will be played between Queensland and Western Australia at the Carrara Oval in Queensland.

The match starts at 10:00 AM local time (12:00 AM IST) (5:30 AM GMT)

This game will be live on Fox Sports in Australia and can be streamed on the Cricket Australia website in India.

Preview:

Western Australia team continue to dominate their opponents in the Marsh One-Day Cup 2019 as they have won four out of five matches in the tournament thus far. They began with three straight wins before losing a game closely against New South Wales. However, their recent win against Victoria should ensure their top position for the next few weeks.

However, Queensland threatens to take away the top spot on Thursday when they face Western Australia. The Queensland team also started with a hat-trick of wins but lost against Victoria due to Aaron Finch’s career-best List A knock. Their home defeat against Southern Australia in the dying moments cost them four points and also a chance of topping the ladder.

Weather Condition/Report:

The weather forecast at the Carrara Oval for Thursday suggests no threat from rain. However, there could be partial cloud cover over the ground throughout the day.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The Carrara Oval has hosted only one List A match thus far, that too way back in 1992. The game played 27 years ago might not indicate how the track works. West Indies faced Queensland during their tour of 1991/92. Batting first, the home team was bundled out for just 79 runs while the visitors needed 19.2 overs for the loss of three wickets to chase the target. During the last BBL season, the teams batting first regularly scored 150 which were chased down.

Average first innings score: N/A

Expert Advice:

Players like D’Arcy Short and Matthew Renshaw will be under the risky arena given their consistency. Short hasn’t done much with the bat in this tournament except for his century. Renshaw has been in toughest of forms but there are chances of his excelling as well.

Probable Winners:

Western Australia could face a tough fight from Queensland who is expected to earn their 4th win of the tournament.
