Michael Clarke and Pip Edwards spotted together; reportedly dating each other again
They had previously stated that they are only friends.
Former Australia captain Michael Clarke has been in the news over the last few months due to his personal relationships. He split with wife Kyly Clarke in February this year even as the reports surfaced that the couple had done that in September 2019 itself. This time around he is making the headlines for spending an evening in an eatery with the fashion designer Pip Edwards.
They reportedly broke up a couple of months ago only to have allegedly dated briefly after the cricketer splitting up with his wife. Clarke and Edwards both had then denied being anything more than friends. Even in February, the couple had stressed that they had been friends from last 12 years and are just working together on a project.
Michael Clarke and Pip met the latter’s son in an eatery
According to the reports in Daily Mail UK, Michael Clarke and Pip Edwards were seen strolling arm-in-arm as they went to Society Pizza Restaurant in Bondi Beach on Sunday night. The report further added that the couple met Edwards’ 13-year-old son, Justice, inside the eatery.
In the several pictures going viral, both Clarke and Edwards seem to be getting close to each other with the latter also resting her head on the former cricketer’s shoulders. They also met more people in the eatery and had a very good time together. It will be interesting to see if any of them come up with a statement related to this meet now.
As for Michael Clarke, he was recently appointed an officer in the Order of Australia, the honour which has been received by the likes of Allan Border, Ricky Ponting, Mark Taylor, Steve Waugh and Bob Simpson as well. Clarke who led Australia to the 2015 World Cup title was honoured for “distinguished service to cricket as a player at the national and international level, through leadership roles, and to the community”.
“To be honest, I thought it was an April fool’s prank in June. Very surprised but in the same breath very honoured,” the former Australia skipper had reacted after receiving the honour.
