Former Australian skipper Micheal Clarke has often visited India, as a player and now makes trips to the country on commentary assignments. While he has always given the Men in a Blue a tough fight on the field, the New South Wales born cricketer has lit up the commentary box in the Indian Premier League. At present, he is India as an ambassador for Tourism Australia and opened up on his perennial love for the Indian food.

Though being an Aussie, Clarke said that the level of spiciness does not stop him from enjoying the Indian curries. The owner of 36 international hundreds said that he has always enjoyed coming to this part of the world and checking out Indian curries and other items. He also spoke about the upcoming India v Australia series, that will commence from 17th September.

When asked about his favourite Indian dish, Clarke replied without even contemplating other options “Biryani.” He further went on to describe his love for the spicy Indian cuisines by saying “I love Indian food and I love biryani. I have always enjoyed my time coming to India. It is a country where I have always felt welcome and I don’t mind the spices, I can deal with it. Every time I come to India, I know I am going to get some great food.”

India are ticking all the right boxes under Kohli’s leadership

Clarke feels that under Virat Kohli’s leadership, team India is progressing on the right path. “The Indian team right now is full of confidence and the upcoming tour for Australia is going to be tough. This tour will be a great challenge for Australia as India, at the moment, are playing very well. Obviously the Australian supporters expect their team to be best in the world. But, India are ticking all the right boxes under the captaincy of Virat Kohli,” he stated, as quoted by NDTV Sports.
