Misbah-ul-Haq urges Cricket Playing Nations to Tour Pakistan
Misbah-ul-Haq urges Cricket Playing Nations to Tour Pakistan: With a two T20 match series followed by a 3-match ODI series, International cricket has been restored in Pakistan after a tedious wait of six years, two months and 19 days. And as a matter of fact, Pakistani cricket fans have responded brilliantly on to the occasion of the same.
As a matter of fact, there were some security concerns during the second ODI between Pakistan and Zimbabwe but it did not pose much of a threat to it. Zimbabwe will play the final ODI of the tour to get things done. Security measures have been kept tight throughout the series which leads to the brighter prospects for Cricket in Pakistan.
On this note, the former ODI captain of Pakistan, Misbah-ul-Haq, who retired from ODI cricket just after the World Cup, 2015 seemed to be pretty happy by the restoration of Cricket in Pakistan. Misbah played his role on the commentary box during the series. The test captain of Pakistan believes of the fact that other cricket playing nations should not fear visiting Pakistan anymore. Pakistan is an intensely Cricket loving nation and does not deserve to be deprived of the same.
Owing to the success of the Zimbabwe series, the Pakistani test captain also added, “this gives a clear-cut message to everyone throughout the world – you can’t just separate the Pakistani nation from cricket”.
Misbah also added that the entire nation of Pakistan is pretty much passionate about the game and even after a drought of six years of International cricket on Pakistani soils, the passion is still intact. This was proved from the jam-packed attendances that was witnessed during the series.
On this very note, the former ODI Captain, urged other teams to tour Pakistan for International Cricket after Zimbabwe has done it.
Misbah added, “Every nation, especially the cricket playing-nations should come to Pakistan and help Pakistan out.”
As a matter of fact, Cricketing prospects seem to be improving in Pakistan as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are likely to tour Pakistan soon. Overall, these aspects seem brightening for the game as a whole.
