Mitchell Starc wins the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, player of the tournament title: Australia win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 title, the fifth championship for them, it was an incredible tournament for the team as they lost just one match that to against their opponents in the Final, New Zealand but when things mattered the most Michael Clarke and his men were at the very best. From the first over of the match till the winning runs were hit, the whole match revolved around them.
If we have to point out one difference between Australia and most of their opponents in the tournament it would be the young left arm pacer, Mitchell Starc. He ran through teams, with so much control over the ball, one was forced to wonder if he has experience more than what the statistics suggest.
Swinging the ball early in the game, using the short ball with perfection, coming back in the middle over’s, during batting power-plays he not only choked the runs but also picked up important wickets for his team.
No doubt when the Aussies were crowned world champions and the Player of the Tournament award was to be given, a clear choice was Mitchell Starc.
