Mohammed Shami tried committing suicide, alleges wife Hasin Jahan

Mohammed Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan has accused her husband of cheating on her and torturing her physically and mentally for several years. Among the many accusations against him is one where Jahan reveals that there was a point when the cricketer was willing to commit suicide.

In an attempt to expose the pacer’s extra-marital affairs, Jahan posted several screenshots of Messenger and Whatsapp messages on her Facebook wall. Notably, the post, which was uploaded from an unverified account, was titled as ‘Shami’s enjoyment’ and had several pictures of the pacer’s text messages to multiple women.

“Much before the two of us even knew each other, Shami was in a relationship with his phuphi ki nanad ki beti (aunt’s sister-in-law’s daughter) for five years. He even attempted to commit suicide because he wanted to marry her. But his family got in the way and the marriage didn’t happen,” alleged Jahan, as reported by DNA.

“I’ve done everything he wanted me to do. I left my modeling career, job and also did not step out of the house,” Jahan said. She further alleged that Shami’s family forced her to marry him and later also tried to kill her.

According to her, the torture was going on for a year but she decided to expose him only now because things had deteriorated after he returned from India’s Tour to South Africa. Shami, on the other hand, has rejected the reports of his extra-marital affair, saying that someone is conspiring to ruin his career.

“He was planning to abandon me after his South Africa tour by taking away the property and insurance papers. I have been tolerating all this for the past five years. He has been asking for a divorce for two years,” she said.

Jahan said Shami was only concerned with money and fame. “I’m not going to divorce him till my last breath. I’ve all evidence against him and will soon drag him to court,” she said.
