Indian skipper MS Dhoni played Holi with some of his fans in Bangalore on Tuesday. Dhoni obliged Sudhir Gautam and Ram Babu, who were given access to the Indian team bus and meet the skipper. India will play Bangladesh in a World T20 match at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday.

In spite of the heavy security, Dhoni allowed Sudhir, Ram Babu and some young fans to put gulal powder on his forehead. Sudhir, a Sachin Tendulkar fan, and Ram Babu follow the Indian team during major tournaments and cricket series.

Sudhir is widely recognised for attending every home match the Indian team has played since 2003. For some overseas tours, he also collects funds from the cricket loving public. He is usually seen with his body painted in the national colours of India, waving the national flag in the live telecast of the matches. On Tuesday, he was draped in the tri-colour and met his favourite sportsman. After applying gulal, he even touched Dhoni’s feet.

After suffering a loss to New Zealand in their opening game, India found their mojo with a Virat Kohli master-class against Pakistan and is now firmly in the race for semi-finals. They will face a Bangladesh side, who have suffered two defeats, to add to the absence of Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny.

Bangladesh pushed Australia on Monday right till the finish. Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan shared five wickets between them to put the Aussies under pressure and will be looking to continue their impressive run. Batting though has been a major worry for the Tigers and they missed the flair of an in-form Tamim Iqbal in the previous match. The team will hope that he is fit and available for tomorrow’s crunch game.
