MS Dhoni goes international with his endorsements
MS Dhoni goes international with his endorsements: Mahendra Singh Dhoni India’s ODI and T20I skipper might have retired from Test cricket, but his brand value and demand in the endorsement industry hasn’t been affected by it. Until now Dhoni’s list of endorsements had been limited to India. But as the Grand Midwest Group entered into a contract with Dhoni for the next three years, he now has an international endorsement added to the list.
The Dubai-based hospitality and event management company announced MSD as their brand ambassador and the press release stated: “It is announced today that Dubai-based premium hospitality & event management company Grand Midwest Group has signed a three-year multi-million dollar deal with MS Dhoni as its official brand ambassador,”
GM Sports which is the event management wing of the Grand Midwest Group recently announced their own Twenty20 cricket league named the Masters Champions League (MCL). The MCL will feature retired international cricketers and is scheduled to be played starting end of January 2016 at Abu Dhabi.
On his new endorsement the most successful Indian skipper said, “This is my first endorsement deal outside India and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Grand Midwest Group for welcoming me to the UAE. It’s a company and a brand that resonates well with me and I look forward to working with them,” said Dhoni.
Zafar Shah Khan of the Grand Midwest Group added, “Grand Midwest Group is immensely proud to associate with one of the world’s most iconic cricket stars, MS Dhoni. What he has achieved is so impressive and we could not wish for a better sportsman to represent our brand,” he said.
