Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian cricketer, recently made a comeback on the cricket field after a gap of five and half years. Last Saturday, Ellyse Perry, the Australian women’s all-rounder, challenged the Little Master to come out of retirement and play a solitary over. The face-off eventually took place in the mid innings break of the Bushfire Bash cricket appeal match.

At the Junction Oval in Melbourne, Sachin got off the mark with a boundary through the fine-leg region. Perry bowled one down the leg side and Sachin had no difficulty whatsoever in putting the ball away. In the next three balls, Sachin did manage to middle the leather, though they were cut off inside the boundary ropes. Anabelle Sutherland bowled the last two balls.

Sachin oozing class and calibre

In the last delivery, Tendulkar churned out a straight drive that used to be his trademark shot. Thereafter, the Aussie women’s cricketers went up and shook hands with Tendulkar. On the same day, Australia Women played a T20I against the England Women at the very venue. Sachin was present as a coach of one of the sides in the charity match in Melbourne.

He has recently uploaded a video from the net session before the game. In a video doing the rounds on social media, Sachin can be seen, going to the front foot and finding the middle of the bat without much fuss. He also showed his love for the game. The legendary cricketer captioned the video and wrote, “My First Love!”

In the meantime, Irfan Pathan, the former Indian cricketer, had some words of praises for Sachin. Pathan said that the Master Blaster is India’s first love. He replied to Sachin’s post and wrote. “Aur Aap humare #Firstlove,”

As far as Irfan is concerned, he was deemed to be a bright prospect for Team India. However, as his career progressed, he lost his way. On January 2020, the all-rounder hung his boots. He is currently the mentor of the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team, which has come leaps and bounds in the last two seasons.
