Parthiv Patel and Gautam Gambhir troll Yuvraj Singh over workout video
Yuvraj has been working hard on his fitness in the lockdown period.
Yuvraj Singh, the former Indian cricketer, was a fulcrum of the national team ever since the 2000 Knockout Trophy in Nairobi. It goes without saying that he used to be one of the Men in Blue’s best fielders along with the likes of Mohammad Kaif. The Chandigarh-born southpaw took some tremendous diving catches and effected some stupendous run-outs.
Hence, it can be said that he puts fitness as one of his top-most priority. Recently, he uploaded a video where he can be, seen working hard on his fitness. Currently, India is going through a lockdown phase due to the coronavirus pandemic and the veteran is spending time at his residence. In the clip, Yuvraj did some weight-lifting, giving a glimpse of his fitness.
In the meantime, Parthiv Patel, another veteran Indian cricketer, poked fun at the left-hander. He replied to Yuvraj and wrote, “Must be very tired..one rep of each exercise… (laughing out loud emoji)”
Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian batsman, also trolled Yuvraj that he has gained weight in the lockdown period. Gambhir’s who’s also a Member of Parliament (MP) from the East Delhi Constituency, replied to Yuvraj and wrote, “Seems like the lockdown has helped you gain some tummy prince.”

Yuvraj was known for his belligerent batting in his career. In 2007, he smashed Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over during a T20 World Cup match against England at the Kingsmead in Durban. In that game, he also managed to notch the fastest T20I fifty off 12 balls. In T20 cricket, only Chris Gayle has equalled the record while playing for the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL).
Yuvraj also became the Player of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup at home. He scored a century against the West Indies and also dismissed Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara in the final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Then he beat cancer and returned to the national side.
In 2017, he played international cricket for the last time and hung his boots from cricket in 2019. In the last 12 months, he played in the Global T20 Canada, the Abu Dhabi T10 league and Bushfire Bash Cricket appeal match earlier this year.
