Ranking India's top 10 match-winners in ICC T20 World Cup history
Many players from India's 2007 T20 World Cup-winning squad made the list.
1. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli might also have topped the list of greatest players in the T20 World Cup, and when the criteria restrict to Indians, he’s certain to take the pinnacle spot. Although the Indian skipper has been sensational in his entire T20I career, his performances in the T20 World Cup are even more staggering.
The right-handed batsman first featured in the tournament in 2012 and kept getting better since then. Kohli scored runs regularly in the high-profile event and shattered one record after another. As a result, India lost just four games in the last three seasons of the T20 World Cups.
Coming to Kohli’s record in the tournament, he scored 777 runs in 16 games at an average of over 86. Now, this is what you call jaw-dropping.
Moreover, he was the Man of the Tournament in the last two editions of the T20 World Cup, and he won’t mind bagging the title this year again. However, his primary focus will be taking India to glory.
