Rating the bowling line-ups of all teams in IPL 2020
A lot has changed for the teams after the IPL has shifted to UAE due to the pandemic.
6. Kings XI Punjab- 7/10
Kings XI Punjab have been widely criticised for making a batting-dominant line-up every season. This year, however, looks good for the Mohali-based team who have many world-class bowlers in their squad. Unlike previous seasons, KXIP may face the problem of plenty while deciding the playing XI for this season.
The pace attack will be led by the Caribbean Sheldon Cottrell who will be making his IPL debut this season. Along with him, Chris Jordan, James Neesham and Hardus Vijoen can play an important assisting role. The Indian-prong of the pacers will be led by the experienced Mohammed Shami along with Ishan Porel, Arshdeep Singh and Darshan Nalkande.
The spin attack will be led by Mujeeb Ur Rahman who is in devastating form right now in the CPL. Along with him, Ravi Bishnoi, Glenn Maxwell, Krishnappa Gowtham, Jagadeesha Suchith, Murugan Ashwin, Harpreet Brar, Deepak Hooda and Tajinder Singh are the fellow tweakers. Their only weak aspect is that despite having a large number of spinners at their disposal, none of them except Mujeeb is reliable enough to be guaranteed a place in the playing XI.
