Ravi Shastri indirectly trolls Sri Lankan team ahead of the ODI series
He took to the micro blogging site Twitter and ended up taking a dig at the Sri Lankan team as he noted that they could breathe fresh air in Dharamsala.
Team India head coach Ravi Shastri was in an absolutely savage mode when he posted a tweet recently. Shastri’s tweet was an indirect dig at the Sri Lankan team who have managed to frustrate the Indian side in many ways in the recent times. While there play on the field in the final Test at Delhi was very well appreciated by the critics, their antics other than the game were strongly criticized as well.
Team Sri Lanka looked absolutely unimpressed with the weather conditions in Delhi during the final Test. Their captain, Dinesh Chandimal, kept insisting the umpires to call off the day’s play on the second day of the match. This was because he had apparently claimed that the Sri Lankan players were finding it difficult to field on the day.
They had reasoned out that the smog levels were a little too high and their players just could not take the heavy toll on their bodies. This had caused many interruptions in the match. Subsequently, even Ravi Shastri had to stroll out at the venue to speak to the umpires in the case. Furthermore, Indian captain Virat Kohli was forced into an early declaration because of Sri Lankan antics.
Ironically, the same Sri Lankan cricketers batted with ease and without the masks in the same match in the remainder of the game. Now, the action moves to Dharamsala for the ODI series. Dharamsala is a city full of greenery and is known for its scenic beauty. Amidst this backdrop, Ravi Shastri found the best way to troll the visiting side.
He took to the micro blogging site Twitter and ended up taking a dig at the Sri Lankan team as he noted that they could breathe fresh air in Dharamsala. So, what excuse will they come up with now? Certainly, the air will not be an issue anymore, at least in the first ODI for sure.
Here is the tweet that Ravi Shastri posted:
“Breathe easy in Dharamsala #TeamIndia #INDvSL,” tweeted Ravi Shastri.
