Ravindra Jadeja remains uncertain for the World Cup 2015: Ravindra Jadeja the Indian teams lone all-rounder for the last year, year and half was among the most certain players to not only make it to the 15 members World Cup 2015 squad but also the final playing XI. His prowess both with the bat and the ball were early spotted and polished by the Indian skipper MS Dhoni. If a section of media is to be believed Ravindra Jadeja who injured his shoulder while practising before the first test match in Australia is still not fit enough to be included in the team and remains uncertain for the ICC cricket world cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand as well.

The TOI reported that, Jadeja who has along with team physio Nitin Patel working on a full fledged rehabilitation at SRMC camp has failed to recovery completely from the injury. The selectors have zeroed down January 6th as the date for selecting the team not only for the tri-series in Australia also featuring England but also the same 15 members will go on to play the ICC mega event starting February 14.

The BCCI now has to decide whether to continue investing in Jadeja or to look at the other available options, one of which is Axar Patel. The 20 years old left arm slow bowler has been around the team and performing and his impressive show against Sri Lanka at home under Virat Kohli was rewarded with a test cap as he flew to Australia being injured Jadeja’s replacement.

Other available option and a popular choice would be picking veteran south paw Yuvraj SIngh in the 15. Yuvi has had a far more superior Ranji trophy having scored 520 runs in the 3 matches and 5 innings averaging over 100. If numbers are something to go by and his records for the Men in Blue in World Cup events who knows Yuvraj might get a surprise call ahead of the World Cup 2015.

A lot will depend on Ravindra Jadeja’s fitness report and the parameters the BCCI selectors have on mind while picking the best 15 cricketers from the country.
