Rohit Sharma's tweet on MS Dhoni will surely make you laugh
Rohit felt '200 is not a safe score' in T20s.
Chennai Super Kings registered their first defeat of the season last night against Kings XI Punjab. It was MS Dhoni who stood till the final ball of the innings but failed to chase the target by just four runs. The wicketkeeper-batsman’s shots took their fans down the memory lane despite CSK not winning the game. Dhoni, who is termed as the best finisher, ended the last night’s game with a six.
MS Dhoni in the post-match presentation ceremony admitted that it was Afghanistan’s 17-year-old Mujeeb Zadran who changed the game in KXIP’s favor. If not Mujeeb, CSK would have crossed the line. With two wins in three games, CSK is sitting at the third position on the points table, which is led by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Several cricketers and Bollywood celebrities reacted to MS Dhoni’s vintage knock. Right from England’s James Taylor to Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, all saluted MS Dhoni for almost winning the game for his side. Among all these tweets, Rohit Sharma’s message stood out.
He wrote, “Great striking thereby @msdhoni almost pulled it off. 200 not safe these days is it? Got a feel for it yesterday”
What next for CSK?
Chennai Super Kings will next play against Rajasthan Royals on 20th April, Friday. However, Injured Suresh Raina’s presence in the game is yet to be known. Team management will give an update on the same in coming days.
What’s more, bothering for the Chennai franchise is their captains MS Dhoni played the game against KXIP with a stiff back. He was seen taking treatment during the second innings. However, the skipper sounded positive after the game and he said it will be okay before their next game.
“I don’t know how bad my back is but it should be okay. God has given me enough power so I don’t have to rely on my back a lot. It shouldn’t be so bad. I am used to playing with the injuries. You have to be tough,” MS Dhoni said after the match.
